A fixed fee for the title, agreed before anything ships: no opaque per-finished-hour games, no “let’s see what it earns.” And terms in plain English you can read and sign yourself.

We credit and promote the voice, not just the book. On Tempt, listeners follow narrators and come back for them. Your name is part of the draw, never buried in the fine print.

With Tempt
Often the recording rights sit with the author, publisher, or the platform that commissioned the recording. So let’s be honest about that. Tempt works with titles where you hold or share the rights (royalty-share projects you co-own, or work you produced), or we bring it in together with the author. Not sure about a title? Tell us, and we’ll help you figure it out.
We pay a fixed fee, agreed upfront and in plain numbers: no waiting on royalties that may never come, no rate you have to argue down. For most narrators, knowing exactly what you’ll earn before you record beats the usual guessing game.
The whole point is the opposite of one-off. We’re building a roster of voices we come back to, for new titles and for the work behind the app itself. We’d rather book you ten times than chase ten strangers.
Because it’s written into the agreement you sign: an explicit, enforceable ban on cloning your voice or using your recordings to train AI. Not a line in a FAQ we could quietly change later. If we ever broke it, you’d have it in writing.
